Washington D.C

In a deeply partisan government where Republicans control all branches of government, veterans’ issues are one of the few bipartisan issues left in Washington. Thus far, President Trump has signed an executive order to provide better care to veterans, improve accountability for such care, and establish a National Center for Warrior Independence for homeless veterans.

Suicide prevention and access to healthcare remain top priorities for members of the military community, and Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins has vowed to make the agency more proactive in addressing both issues, moving beyond simply talking about the problem and implementing more tangible solutions.

Which veteran policies and initiatives are top priorities in the Trump Administration?  How can the government help enhance employment and housing opportunities for veterans? What are the ripple effects of the budget cuts at the VA? And will the current administration roll back the expanded VA benefits under the PACT Act?

This Veterans Day, join The Hill as we convene lawmakers, administration officials and service organizations to answer these important questions in support of those who have answered the call of duty.
